The painter Anna Mª Constanseu shows at her academy in Castelló how to master the secrets of painting.
Many know the great beauty of the Alt Emporda landscape, that’s why so many home artists pay it a lot of attention. Among these we find the painter Anna Mª Constanseu, born in Pau, and a great lover of the Emporda which shows through her works. Her suggestive and seductive oil paintings with many abstractions, are what she is recognised for nationally and internationally. ”The vineyards, the olive trees and sceneries with boats are my favourite. That doesn’t mean I always do the same, an artist cannot close up and always do the same thing. He must look for new shapes, new paths, new visions, new motivations to go in depth with the art he holds within”. |
A reflexion that shows the artist she is, and how fond she is of painting since she was a little girl. She studied to become a P.E teacher, but it was due to a car accident that forced her to leave that behind that she found her true thing in painting, an art she became interested in studying at an Art school and working with a deep and enthusiastic feeling. And this way, with a lot of passion she started getting noticed and acknowledged, like a third prize in an international fair in Barcelona, or a first prize in Italy, her first exhibitions, until becoming the great artist she is nowadays.
For Constanseu, a picture, is not a lifeless thing that shows something done by an artist, it is something more, a connection of the artist with the meaning of life and what the spectator sees, a kind of interactive game. |
